Steep & Slippy – Technical Trail Riding
June 9 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm| £95
Develop your Mountain Biking skills with some expert guidance.
Mastered the black trails and fancy a new challenge? This is the course for you!
You should be very confident riding a mountain bike on black trails, with well-established core skills, but want to step up your game to ride some steep and slippy natural trails.
During the group session we cover topics such as, but not limited to:
- Pumping & Flow
- Roots & Ruts
- Turning & Corners
- Line choice
The day will be a fun-filled session on various aspects of steep and slippy riding, with a fairly informal tone. Be prepared – this track is steep and slippy, even in the dry! Feel free to visit beforehand to get a feel for what’s going on.
BRING A MIDGE NET AND SOME REPELLENT!!
Questions are welcome (encouraged!) to help build solid foundations of understanding – no question is too silly and further explanation is always available if requested!
The course will last for 6 hours in total, with a break for lunch somewhere in the middle when it’s convenient for the group. There’s the option of eating at the cafe at the bottom, or for coffee at Wheelcraft afterwards.
A selection of video highlights of the day will be shared with participants – a great way to get feedback by seeing yourself ride.
Please bring enough food and water for the day, as well as the mandatory kit – an approved helmet, gloves and well-fitting bike in good working order. Any other equipment is welcome. Flat pedals are highly recommended!
