We will take all reasonable steps required to ensure that those who are unsuitable are prevented from working with children and vulnerable adults. These steps will include ensuring that those who are not suitable to be working with children and vulnerable adults, are prevented from doing so. For all positions that require contact with children or vulnerable adults, our Safe Recruitment Procedures must be implemented and completed.

All staff who work with children are required to have a Scottish Government PVG membership. The scheme is run by Disclousre Scotland: www.disclosure.gov.scot

Disclosure Scotland keeps checking suitability to continue work with children or protected adults. If they find new information which means someone is unsuitable to work with children or protected adults, they’ll ban them from regulated work. They’ll also be removed from the PVG scheme and employers will be notified.
