Broader Riding

We travel to ride at exciting and challenging new venues further afield (Innerleithen, Ae Forest, Laggan Wolftrax, Glenlivet, Glassie Bikepark etc) as well as riding big mountains such as Ben Ledi, Ben Lomond, The Arrochar Alps and many more!

How do I get involved?

This is a private, invite-only group for trusted riders and parents – please do not book tickets without prior consultation. The best way to get fast-track approval is to attend a local weekly Kids Club session and show us what you’ve got.

Minimum Requirements

Access: Invite-only
Riding Time: 10am – 4pm (6h)
Level: Advanced
Experience: Academy Level 4/5
Distance: 25km+
Elevation: 750m+
Group size: 8 max, 4 minimum

Rider Responsibilities

It goes without saying that riders should be well-versed in good etiquette and preparation for these rides, based on the responsible culture we breed at Kids Club – there will be zero tolerance and no refunds for negligence of equipment, as it puts us in a very difficult situation on away days and is unfair on others who have prepared sufficiently. We expect that riders can perform basic mechanics to tune their bike on the go and make simple repairs. They should also carry all essential equipment to remain self-sufficient in an emergency – including being dressed for the weather and perhaps even bringing a change of clothes for after. Lunch should be packed so it can be carried on the ride, or left in the van, with additional nutrition as spare or for the journey home.

Transport System & Route

Travelling will be flexible, and we will attempt to optimise each round as best we can. Final pickup arrangements and times will typically be confirmed the night before. As a rough guide, our journey will normally start with an 08:00 pick-up at Castleview Park & Ride, Stirling – the return drop-off is usually around 18:00.

Transporting Bikes

Even on our dedicated bike trailer, there is a risk of scratching. Different sizes and shapes of bikes overlap oddly, so frame protection is advised for new bikes if there is concern for light cosmetic damage, to reduce that risk as much as possible. Salt on the roads will affect the bikes after a wet day of towing – please ensure bikes are thoroughly rinsed after.
