Coaching MTB at Glentress

Upgrade Your Skills

Group MTB coaching sessions are a great way to improve your mountain bike riding technique. There is also the chance to socialise and get feedback from fellow riders.

Improve your skills without the bills! Group coaching is a more affordable way to advance your riding, with the added benefit of having the encouragement of others around.

Ride Safer / Ride Faster

To get the most out of your group MTB coaching session, it’s advisable to ride with others at a similar level. As a result, they’re much more likely to be equally involved and comfortable. This helps make progress at a pace that satisfies the whole group.

Group courses are dynamic and interactive to suit every level of the group, catering to individual needs while keeping everyone entertained and engaged through every step of the learning process.

Core Skills

Master the fundamental skills needed to shred – ride to promote grip safely, hit drops and rock gardens confidently and rail bermed corners.

Advanced Skills

Step up your riding and build on core skills – learn to send jumps, attack flat corners and find grip when the odds are stacked against you.

Racecraft

Mountain bike racing has grown massively in popularity – Change the way you look at trails to facilitate speed, and develop a racing strategy suited to your strengths.

Our preferred venues are Aberfoyle or Cambusbarron in central Scotland, or Cathkin Braes in Glasgow, but we are available nationwide and can also visit your local on request.

If you would prefer to be coached privately, we also offer 1:1 sessions.

What to Expect on your Coaching Session

Private group MTB coaching sessions are fully customisable to suit groups, from location to duration – however, a typical session is 4 hours.

Coaching sessions can be physically intensive with days worth of riding condensed into a few hours. For this reason, we recommend you bring plenty of food and water to keep energy levels up throughout the session.
