A School holiday with a difference – kids mountain bike fun with expert guidance.
Attending our school holiday courses will develop a foundation of core skills and knowledge that will allow your children to ride safely while building confidence. We help to fend off pesky bad habits and common misconceptions that can hinder your kid’s riding development.

Course Details
Time: 09:00– 15:00, with the option to arrive 30 mins before/after to allow parents travel time to work. Please let us know if you require this extra time.
Age: Rather than specific age groups, we categorise by ability – Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. We encourage mixed age groups to create an inspirational learning environment.
Beginner: Kids are expected to be able to stand-up pedal, use their gears/brakes well, and cycle uphill unassisted. This is roughly age 5-10 but depends on experience.
Intermediate: Kids should be comfortable with off-road riding and looking to develop technical skills. This is roughly age 8-12 but depends on experience.
Advanced: Kids should be experienced in riding challenging terrain and looking to expand their knowledge and technique. This is roughly age 10-16 but depends on experience.
If in doubt, please get in touch to discuss. We welcome riding videos to judge ability!

Kit & Supplies
Lunch: Please supply your child with their own packed lunch each day; high in energy, with backup snacks, including enough water for the day (plus a bit extra just in case). Please bring lunch in a separate bag that can be left in the van while out riding.
Kit: A well-fitting helmet is essential. Gloves and knee pads are strongly advised. Anything else is a bonus, although it may be too restrictive and unnecessary for whole-day sessions. If no knee/elbow pads, then durable and protective long-sleeve/leg garments should be worn. We advise waterproof clothing and a change of clothes in case of deluge.
Bike: Please ensure your child’s bike is in good and safe working condition. Off-road tyres and gears are a necessity. If you are unsure, please have it checked by a qualified mechanic beforehand.
Tools: All participants should be self-sufficient – it breeds a good attitude for riding in the future. Please bring an appropriately-sized inner tube, pump, puncture repair kit and a basic multi-tool for the most common of trail-side repairs.
