We have teamed up with Sender Ramps to give you the opportunity to win one of their awesome Launchpad 350 curved ramps worth £125!
They are innovative, lightweight, portable and space-saving ramps designed for minimum faffing around and are a great tool for learning to jump on. It’s super strong design with birch plywood legs and phenolic plywood surface are all CNC cut in their workshop in Inverness, Scotland. They’re so good, we’ve got one with our logo on it!
How do I enter?
All you have to do is create a shredit (shredding video edit, aka instabanger) and post it to your own social media, showcasing why you love MTB. We will pick the finalists based on the following criteria, with the most influential points first:
- Bike Skills – we don’t expect backflip barspins, we just want to see your proudest achievements at any level!
- Stoke Factor – show us how much fun you are having riding your bikes with some b-roll banter!
- Originality – stand out from the crowd with something a little different…
- Editing – create an atmosphere with timely edits.
- Production – keeping the quality high makes for a bigger impact.
- Caption – an accompanying message can bring context to the edit – humourous #tags are a bonus!
- Multimedia – including titles and other images may work in your favour! ;)
What are the rules?
- Social: Follow us both (@trailcoachmtb & @senderramps) and make sure to tag us both in your video and use #ShreditCompetition
- Duration: 20-60 seconds
- Assistance: Parents can help under 10s, but over 10s should create it by themselves, perhaps with the help of friends.
- Orientation: either landscape or portrait is fine, as long as you stick with that format throughout the video.
- Footage: Videos don’t have to feature a single rider, it can be a group riding montage but stolen or sped-up footage will be immediately disregarded.
- Entrants: You don’t have to be a member of our Kids Club to submit a video – it’s open to anyone under 16 in the UK.
How do I make a shredit?
Easy peasy! Record some fresh videos clips or use footage from our Kids Club media archive to “cut & trim” clips together into a single video, using a smartphone app or desktop software. Most devices (desktop and mobile) now come with basic video editing software pre-installed that is capable for this purpose, so there’s really no excuse! A wee Google search will help you discover the basics of video editing specific to which device you may be using.
It is also possible to edit video within the social media apps now – both TikTok and Instagram Reels offer the ability to splice clips together and even add multimedia elements – we will accept submissions created in ANY software, as long as they are posted on your own (or parent-managed) account.
If you’re looking for a rough example, see one of our favourite Kids Club edits here.
When is the deadline?
Entries will close at midnight on XMAS eve (24th Dec 2020) and our FOUR favourite edits will go head-to-head in a week-long public vote to decide the winner. The finalists will be displayed on this page and you can ask as many people as you want to vote!
Voting will close at midnight on Hogmanay (31st Dec 2020) and the winner will be announced on New Years Day (1st Jan 2021).
What are the prizes?
The main prize is fairly obvious, a Sender Launchpad 350, but there will also be one of our super-cosy bobble hats for each of the four finalists!

FINAL UPDATE – WE HAVE A WINNER!
The voting was intense but we ended up with a two-way fight to the line between Rory and Dan… after much campaigning by both parties, Dan eventually pulled clear and has been declared the winner – well done Dan, we’ll get the ramp in the post to you. To all the runners-up, we’ll get your prizes sent out too.
Thank for all your submissions – be sure to follow us on social media and see more of our upcoming competitions and giveaways! @TrailCoachMTB
