Further Afield

We will travel to ride at exciting new venues not usually visited by our regular Weekly Kids Club – with these locations being further away we provide the transport too.

Travel time: 1-2 hours each way
Group size: Max 8 (Minimum 4!)

Ability levels:

Junior (ages 8-11) are expected to cover 15km/350m during a gentle 6h ride and should be in the upper end of the Junior AM or lower end of the Youth PM sessions.

Youth (ages 10+) are expected to cover 20km/500m during a brisk 6h ride and should be in the upper end of the Youth PM sessions, looking to break into the elite group.

2024 Schedule:

• 08/04/24 – Junior – Comrie
• 09/04/24 – Youth – Aberfeldy

Please note that there is a minimum of 4 required for the event to go ahead – if not met within 48h of the session, we will refund or offer an alternative.

Transport System & Route

Travelling will be flexible and we will attempt to optimise each session as best we can – please join our Whatsapp Group Chat to participate in planning and logistics. Final pickup arrangements and times will typically be confirmed the night before – our journey will typically start with an 08:00 pick up in Stirling (at Castleview Park and Ride) and then at Morrisons Ballieston 08:30 with the reverse return drop-off usually around 17:30/18:00.

Transporting Bikes

Transporting bikes is not a perfect science, even when on a dedicated bike trailer there is a risk of scratching with different sizes and shapes of bikes overlapping. If you would like to reduce that risk as much as possible, frame protection is advised to be applied to new bikes. If using the trailer there is potential for the salt on the roads to affect the bikes after a wet day of towing – please ensure bikes are thoroughly rinsed after.
