Ticket Release Schedule

Block-booking tickets called ‘Early Birds’ are available to encourage consistency for the kids, both socially and practically, and to reduce cost. If there is capacity remaining after the early bird period, individual tickets go on sale during the week before the block commences.

Key Points & Requirements

Please pay attention to these critically important points:

This is not a ‘learn to ride a bike’ course – kids are expected to ride up a small hill that will require the use of gears, descend standing up in the attack position and perform an emergency stop at the very least.

Age ranges are for guidance only – if in doubt, please consult before booking – each session is split into ability groups on the day.

Kids should be self-sufficient for the session (3h) wearing a helmet and appropriate clothing for the weather. Gloves and additional protection are recommended but optional if wearing long sleeve tops and trousers. Kids should carry water and snacks in a backpack, as well as basic bike repair tools and spares; a multi-tool, inner tube and/or puncture repair kit and a pump.

Bikes should be in sound mechanical condition, including lubed chains and correct tyre pressures – if you are unsure please consult a qualified bike mechanic prior to coming on the session. Inadequately prepared bikes will not be repaired on the day, and if deemed unfit for use, we cannot offer refunds. The less time we spend fiddling with bikes the more riding we can do – please prepare bikes BEFORE coming to the session.

Parents do not accompany the ride except in very special, pre-arranged circumstances – read more about how we deal with nervous kids that have anxiety.

Kids should be enthusiastic about participating – if they don’t want to ride their bike, they won’t keep up with the group and therefore can’t participate in the session.

Aims & Principles

More than just riding bikes, we believe in empowering children through authentic, real-world experiences beyond what traditional education can provide.

Code of Conduct

To ensure a positive experience for all riders, we have procedures and etiquette to create a positive learning environment with respect, safety and fun.
